Udaipur, the 'City of Lakes' was the capital of the Mewar Kingdom and ruled by the Sisodia Dynasty for about 1200 years. Maharana Udai Singh established the city of Udaipur in 1567 AD overlooking the Lake Pichola on the advise of a hermit.

The garden is beautified with different fountains and four pools decorated with well-defined pavilions and elephants. The fountains still work on the unique hydraulic technique devised in 1700 AD.

By Road: Udaipur is connected by roadways with major cities lying between Mumbai and Delhi.
