Day 01: Arrive at Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, our representatives will transfer
you to a hotel. Stay overnight at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Chandigarh
In the morning you will be transferred to the New Delhi
railway station to board Shatabdi Express train to Chandigarh.
Our executives at Chandigarh will receive you and we
will proceed to Manali by surface. On our way to Manali
you can see various beautiful and picturesque locations
including small markets and villages. Driving along
the sides of river Beas can be a rewarding experience
for you and the sights of the icy mountains will surely
enthrall you while approaching the hill city of Manali.
En-route pass through the Mandi. Late evening arrival
at Manali. Check into the hotel for an overnight stay
at Manali.
Day 03: Manali
Enjoy a daylong excursion of the beautiful and exotic
hill station of Manali. If you love adventure enjoy
a skiing to explore the charm and natural beauty of
Manali. Visit the 16th century Hadimba Temple, the Hot
spring at Vashisht and the hippy enclave in Manali.
Thereafter visit Naggar, a picturesque tiny village
set on a hill situated at 28 km from Manali. Naggar
is the starting points for the treks over the Chandrakhani
pass. You can also visit the Roerich Art Gallery developed
by the late husband of Devika Rani, the famous legendary
actress of the Indian cinema, and the 12th century Gauri
Shankar temple and the Chatar Bhuj Temple. Later, return
back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Manali.
Day 04: Manali - Jispa
After breakfast in the early morning, we drive to Jispa,
through the Rohatang Pass. While driving to Jispa at
an altitude of 10890 ft and around 51 km climb up to
the Rohatang, enjoy the stunning and breathtaking views
of the snow peaks and glaciers. En route stop off at
snow point. Continue driving. En route visit the Keylong,
at an elevation of 3350 m, situated on the Manali-Leh
road. Visit some of the famous Buddhist monasteries
such as Tayul, Khardong, Gemur and Sha-Shur at Keylong
then continue driving to Jispa. Arrive at Jispa. Rest
of the day at leisure. Explore the Jispa village. Overnight
stay at a Hotel.
Day 05: Jispa - Sarchu
After breakfast in the early morning, we drive to Sarchu
through the Darcha village, known as the gateway for
the trekker's to Lamayuru via Zanskar valley. After
verifying our passport and another documents at the
check post near the village, we cross the Barlacha Pass
(4650m) to reach Sarchu situated on the bank of the
Bhaga River. Stay overnight at the tent.
Day 06: Sarchu - Karzok Village
After breakfast in the morning, we drive to Pang, a
small but exceptionally beautiful location on Leh-Manali
road. Famous for its tiny migrating markets, in pang
you can also see various interesting earth pillars.
Thereafter we continue driving up hill drive to find
a vast plain area around 60 km till the base of Tanglanla
(5400m). Before Tanglanla we take right turn to reach
at Karzok village at 4267m. The gompa at Karzok village
was built around 1850 and is inhabited predominantly
by women. Rest of the day at leisure. You can explorer
the village. Stay overnight in a camp.
Day 07: Karzok- Tsomoriri - Tsokar
Enjoy a daylong excursion to Tsomoriri and Tsokar. Situated
at 4573m, Tsomoriri is a pearl shape village with a
beautiful lake. In Tsokar at about 7km from Tsomoriri,
you can visit a small gompa. Return to the camp Late
for an overnight stay.
Day 08: Karzok - Leh
After breakfast, we drive to Leh, the capital of Ladakh,
located amidst the picturesque surroundings of the Ladakh
Range. In the morning visit the local markets. Till
afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon enjoy a sightseeing
of Shanti Stupa, Shankar Gompa and Namgyal Tsom. Overnight
stay at a hotel in Leh.
Day 09: Leh
Enjoy a daylong Sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey, Hemis
and Stok Palace at Leh.
Day 10: Leh - Nubra Valley
Early in the morning we drive via the highest motorable
Khardongla Pass at 5580m to arrive at the Nubra Valley,
popularly known as Ldomra or the Valley of Flowers.
The breathtaking sights of the valleys, peaks and glaciers
never fail to enchant its visitors. Visit the Diskit
and Samstanling Gompa, Palanmik hot spring. You can
also enjoy a double hump camel safari, river rafting,
trekking and sunbath at Hunder. Overnight stay at the
Camp.
Day 11: Diskit - Hunder - Panamik - Diskit
Enjoy a daylong excursion of the Nubra valley. After
full day excursion of the region stay overnight at the
Camp.
Day 12: Nubra - Basgo
After breakfast, we drive to Basgo. Visit the ruins
of a fort at Basgo. You can also visit the Ser Zung
Temple, which is known for its great frescoes. Another
worth visiting temple here is one with an enormous gold
and copper statue of the Maitreya Buddha. Share your
dinner with a local family. Enjoy a program of local
folk dance, song and local wine. Overnight stay at the
camp.
Day 13: Basgo - Alchi - Lamayuru
After breakfast we drive Alchi village to visit the
Alchi gompa of the 11th century known for a massive
Buddha statue. After visiting the monastery, we drive
to Lamayuru, the gateway to the Zanskar valley. The
place has the oldest known gompa in Ladakh, dating back
to the10th century or even before. Overnight stay near
the monastery and observing of the evening pray in the
gompa.
Day 14: Lamayuru - Drokhpa Area
Drokhpa area lies along the Indus River comprising the
villages of Dunkhar, Tirit, Skurbuchan, Hanudo, Biama
and Dha. The area is believed to be inhabited by the
pure Aryans who migrated from the Central Asian region.
Explore the Biama and Pashmina villages. Pashmina is
known for Sheep breeding and apricot cultivation. Overnight
stay at camp.
Day 15: Biama - Dha - Biama
Biama is famous for its handicrafts and Shawls. In Dha
visit the community center where children are trained
in shawl weaving and local handicraft. Enjoy a daylong
visit to the rural area. Overnight stay at a camp at
Biama.
Day 16: Biama - Basgo or Ney
After breakfast we drive to Basgo. En route you visit
the beautiful Rizong Gompa monastery. Thereafter we
continue driving to arrive at Ney. Stay overnight at
a monastery or in a local house in the picturesque and
exotic location of Nay.
Day 17: Leh / Delhi
After an early morning breakfast we drive to Leh airport
to board a morning flight to Delhi. Rest of the day
at leisure. Late in the evening our executives transfer
you to airport to board a flight for your onward journey
or way back home.
