SOCIAL & COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION
Holiday India is respectful of the people, culture, and tradition of India. We also work to promote economic growth and prosperity in the society we are a part off. While striving to achieve sustainable growth as a company, we strive to fulfill our role as a good corporate citizen and actively undertake social contribution activities in every community where we do business in our efforts to help realize a prosperous and healthy society. To accomplish this, we actively promote cooperative support activities with the objective of contributing to local communities through the provision of human resources, facilities and funds. Each of our employees also endeavors to be of service to the community through such means as volunteer activities.
Jeevan Jyoti (Mother Teresa's Home for Disabled Children)
The Jeevan Jyoti Home for Disabled Children (also known as “Mother Teresa's Home for Disabled Children”) is run by the Missionaries of Charity, an order founded by Mother Teresa in 1950 that cares for the helpless. The Home was established in 1988 and is dedicated to caring for youngsters with a range of physical and emotional disabilities. Almost 100 children currently reside at the Home, many since birth. Some of the children have moderate disabilities and attend schools for special children outside of the Home, while others with more severe disabilities are provided warm, compassionate, custodial care by the Sisters within the Home. In this safe environment, children blossom to reach personal if very humble milestones: standing, walking, smiling, attending school, etc. For some, meeting these basic needs is a major achievement. The Mission is small with a handful of sisters actively involved in caring for the children, and they live very modest, hard-working lives.
Volunteer Help
We established the Volunteer Help Group in recognizing the importance of co-existence with local communities and each employee's compassion to contribute to society. The Group supports volunteer activities of our employees and community residents by coordinating various kinds of volunteer programs for them. Every Friday, food is distributed to the Leprosy affected people who stay in a secluded part of Delhi. A special van distributed food to beggars and street children at different areas of the town.
