 Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Occupying an area of over 1,940-sq-km, the park is also one of the Tiger Reserves of India. What will interest you on tours to Kanha is the topography of the region. The valley is shaped like a horseshoe with the River Surpan meandering through the plains of the park.
You will come across the forests of Bamboo and Sal and grasslands. The park is open from mid-February to June and mid-November to mid-February. It is closed from July to November due to the monsoons.
